I offer long and short term individual psychotherapy, according to your needs and concerns. The length of psychotherapy depends on the presenting concern.
A few sessions may be enough to help you with life events and challenges that may cause you to feel stagnant and confused. These challenges may be the cause of depression, anxiety, panic attacks, difficulties with sleep, may be the cause of overeating or loss of appetite and responsible for anger outbursts. In times like these, psychotherapy comes to provide with much needed support and leverage that will enable you to look at things from a different perspective, often what is necessary in order to move forward.
Short term psychotherapy typically lasts 10 to 12 sessions and we meet once a week, or if there is a greater concern, twice a week, on a scheduled day and time. The decision to continue with treatment is always yours.
In the case of ongoing therapy, in my work with patients, the core of the treatment process lies in the therapeutic alliance formed between the therapist and the patient. This creates a safe, compassionate, supportive space, where the two can explore as they unfold, hidden aspects of the patient’s self.
Within this supportive space, empowered by the therapeutic alliance, the patient gets to reveal, reconcile and integrate together unknown fragments of self, towards self awareness and self realization. This will freed the patient to take responsibility for their own life, their decisions and ultimately seize the reins and attain mastery of self.
The fee for an Individual 45m session is $120. There is no cancellation fee as long as there is a 48-hours notice or you cannot attend the session due to unforeseeable circumstances.
