A couple consists of two separated units that come together to form a union. Each unit, brings to the whole their own unique characteristics and attributes and is, at the same time, impacted and transformed by the whole. As the two come together, personal themes and behavioral patterns start to play out that come to create friction and miscommunication between the couple.
Each person, unconsciously seeks to form relationships with the very people that will help them play out these problematic behavioral patterns in search for resolution. Instead of resolution however, more often than not these unconscious motives give rise to friction and miscommunication and drive the couple apart.
A couple may benefit from couples therapy in the following way:
Therapy can help built a communication bridge between the two partners.
Unknown behavioral patterns can be recognized and associated with stressful interactions and problematic events.
Differences and opposing interpersonal dynamics can be recognized and reconciled.
Problematic interactions between the two partners can be recognized and replaced with more harmonious ones.
Desire towards the other partner can be explored and restored.
The fee for a Couples therapy 60m session is $140. There is no cancellation fee as long as there is a 48-hours notice or you cannot attend the session due to enforceable circumstances.
