Online Counseling / Life Coaching

About Online Counseling:

Online counseling is a confidential process between the psychologist and the client, in which the psychologist provides scientific services, according to their academic and professional training.

The psychologist is bound by confidentiality and ethics of the profession. Confidentiality may be broken only in exceptional cases according to the law.

The process of online counseling is not considered to be psychotherapy. Online counseling abides by the principles of ISMHO (International Society for Mental Health Online.)

What the client must do:

The client must be carefully informed about the procedure, its risks and benefits.

In the case in which confidentiality is broken and privacy is threatened by third parties with the clients fault or interference by hackers or internet providers or by sending messages to the wrong address, the psychologist is not held responsible.

The psychologist is not responsible for any incorrect information provided by the client.

The client must carefully read the psychologist’s information, evaluate him and agree upon receiving to receive online counseling services.

Although online counseling is not considered psychotherapy, research has proved it’s efficacy in relation to traditional psychotherapy.

Some of the benefits of online counseling are:

Professional services are made accessible to people living in rural areas or to those that for some reason have no access to traditional psychotherapy.

Online counseling has similar results to those of traditional psychotherapy.

Clients are in the comfort of their own home, which can help them feel safe and be more open and receptive.

Distance is not an issue and online counseling can take place between two people in different parts of the world.

Requires less time and the fee for an online session is less comparing to a traditional psychotherapy session.

The fee for an Online Counseling 45m session is $100 and is paid before the session begins.
